Biography
Dr. Sujit Velayudhan Indira has over 12 years of experience in adult cardiothoracic surgery. After completing his MBBS and MS (General Surgery) at Trivandrum Medical College, he graduated from CMC Vellore in 2011 with a gold medal from Dr. MGR Medical University in MCh CTVS. He underwent specialist training in adult cardiac surgery at Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide, South Australia, where he gained comprehensive training in routine cardiac surgeries as well as, hybrid procedures like TAVI and TEVAR. He completed specialist training in heart and lung transplantation at St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, New South Wales, and had been a regular member of the retrieval and implant teams. Also, he became well-versed in ECMO, VAD, and minimal access surgeries by working with the eminent surgeons here.
