Dr. Aishwarya Thanasekaran is a Consultant in Ophthalmology with a strong surgical expertise and a compassionate, patient-first approach. She firmly believes that good eye care is not just about treatment, but about trust, understanding, and patient comfort.
She provides comprehensive eye care ranging from common eye conditions such as cataracts, refractive errors, and dry eyes to complex disorders including glaucoma, retinal diseases, and corneal pathologies. Competent in both medical and surgical ophthalmology, Dr. Aishwarya has successfully performed over 400 cataract surgeries (SICS & Phacoemulsification) and is highly skilled in laser procedures and anterior segment surgeries.
In addition to her clinical practice, she plays an important role in mentoring and training young doctors, contributing to the academic growth of future ophthalmologists. Her academic work also includes research on novel diagnostic methods and treatment strategies aimed at improving community vision care. Known for her clear communication, compassion, and meticulous care, she ensures patients feel informed, supported, and confident throughout their treatment journey.
